Andrea Vizzini: the exhibition closing and the presentation of the catalogue

Sunday, February 22 at 5:00 PM, at the former Episcopal Palace in Quingentole (MN), the official catalogue of Andrea Vizzini’s exhibition, Syntactic Projections of Space, will be presented in conjunction with the exhibition’s closing event. During the event, the artist and the curators Massimo Pirotti and Sandie Zanini will delve into the themes of the exhibition, engaging in dialogue with the audience and guiding them through the exhibition rooms.

The rooms conceived by Vizzini, where the relationship between space, light, and geometry endures, are structured into three main cycles, in dialogue with the 16th-century frescoes recently rediscovered and restored. Theoretical Interiors propose mental architectures in which ideas take visual form and the gaze becomes meditation. Myths reinterpret archetypal figures from tradition, blending historical memory with contemporary suggestions. Finally, the Black & White Rooms reduce the work to the dialectic of black and white, transforming space into an immersive and contemplative mental theatre.

The official catalogue brings together the exhibited works and a selection of critical essays that explore the artist’s poetics in depth. The presentation thus takes shape as a unique opportunity to revisit the entire exhibition project and to bring the artistic experience to a close with a direct and shared взгляд on Vizzini’s work.
