BIOGRAPHY

Cris Devil is a contemporary Italian artist based in Brescia.
His artistic research weaves iconic visual elements with social themes, with a particular interest in the connections between art and sustainability. His work is permeated by a deep passion for music—especially guitars—which he builds himself and plays.

Cris Devil’s compositions appear as extraordinary stage-like scenes, skilfully blending elements of reality and surrealism to create a powerful visual impact. Observing his works, one is transported into a dreamlike and ironic dimension, where illusion comes to life before the viewer’s eyes. In this artistic world, past, present and future merge into a mysterious dialogue, communicating through subtle plays of perspective and distorted visions.
In Cris Devil’s perspective-based creations, key elements emerge through deliberate imbalances, bold disproportions, intense colours, and the presence of unusual subjects. His style is rooted in antithesis, where everything becomes the opposite of itself, creating a surprising and provocative visual experience.

Cris Devil’s goal is to draw the viewer into his artistic universe—a world imbued with irony, imagination and irreverence—capable of distancing them from the harshness of everyday life, which often feels alien. With his compositions he aims to highlight pressing contemporary issues such as water scarcity and pollution.
To create his pictorial works, he uses a wide range of artistic techniques, including 3D graphics, photography, collage, acrylic paints, spray cans and resin, masterfully fixed onto metal surfaces, making his creations even more fascinating and unique. For years, he has also created sculptures in various materials dedicated to the world of guitars, including his most famous work titled Fly Fuzz.

Cris Devil can be considered a fully “phygital” artist (Physical + Digital), creating both traditional physical compositions and animated digital artworks. In their dynamic version, the compositions come to life, drawing the viewer even more quickly into the artist’s neo-pop surrealist universe. Animation allows him to convey an additional message that complements the stillness of traditional art. The physical and digital worlds, in art as in everyday life, are increasingly intertwined.
Deeply committed to solidarity, he has been carrying out concrete humanitarian projects in Africa for years, including the construction of infrastructures and artistic activities involving children.

Represented by one of Italy’s oldest art galleries, Zanini Arte 1914, he has participated in numerous exhibitions, fairs and cultural events.

In 2025, his solo exhibition Elemento Acqua was held at the Casina Vanvitelliana in Bacoli (Naples). In the same year, he gained international media attention for creating an artist-designed helmet for Italian MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi, who rode it straight to the podium at Silverstone.

Also in 2025, he took part in the Urban HeArt project selected by Urban Vision, contributing to a widespread digital art initiative displayed on large screens in Milan, Rome, Naples and Catania.
That same year, he performed a live art show in Lugano at Villa Ciani during the contemporary art event YouNique.

In 2024, he was the protagonist of a major institutional solo exhibition titled L’improbabile, held at the Monastic Refectory of San Benedetto Po (Mantua), curated by Sandie Zanini and organised by Zanini Arte.

In the same year, he took part in digital art outreach projects around the world through the Art Crush initiative in Australia, Romania and Belgium.
