The fifth edition of the exhibition dedicated to the internationally acclaimed artist Je Shen is about to open, in collaboration with the historic Gardesana Residence. The exhibition will take place in Torri del Benaco, on the enchanting shores of Lake Garda, from June 12 to September 20, 2026.
Once again, the Gardesana Residence, active since 1402 and distinguished by its refined, timeless elegance, confirms itself as the ideal setting to host Je Shen’s artworks, creating an harmonious dialogue between art, nature, and history.
Born in 1973 in Jiangxi, China, Je Shen studied at the Guangzhou School of Art and the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, developing an artistic practice that combines Eastern pictorial traditions with the influences of European Impressionism and 19th-century Western art. His work emerges from a continuous dialogue between different visual cultures, which merge into a distinctive and highly recognizable artistic language.
His artworks evoke suspended, deeply immersive landscapes in which humans and nature intertwine within a dimension of contemplative stillness. Lush flowers and seasonal foliage emerge with a strong material presence, creating a balance between atmospheric lightness and painterly density.
Je Shen builds layered, luminous surfaces where the perception of depth extends beyond the canvas itself. The result is an image that is not merely observed, but experienced as a sensory encounter, shaped by calm, color, and harmony.
