THE FIRST NFT ARTIST MONOGRAPH: ANDREA CRESPI

The phygital artist Andrea Crespi is the protagonist of the third edition of The NFT Magazine’s monograph, representing the first Italian artist to have an NFT monograph, curated by Sandie Zanini.

The NFT Magazine launched a new challenge for Web3 publishing. It was created in collaboration with the most important and visionary curators to tell about the evolution of Crypto Art. The series CryptoArt Monograph covers every month the biggest protagonists of the digital art scene in Web3.

With its third edition, The NFT Magazine marks a new, extraordinary chapter: focused on Andrea Crespi, a phygital artist book, published both in its physical + digital version and Flipbook.

Andrea Crespi creates his artworks through a deep investigation of the different physical and digital media, exploring several topics such as optical illusion, social transformation and digital revolution. His artworks try to concretize his interpretation of modern-day cultural changes through a constant research of experimentation and innovation.

With a series of thirty stratified lines, part of his monograph is also transformed in a Flipbook, in order to find out more about his art until revealing the identity hidden behind these living lines: the eternal and iconic Mona Lisa, The Famous Lisa.

The curator, Sandie Zanini, presents, page after page, the philosophy, the technique, the narrative and the aesthetic of Andrea Crespi, immersing the reader through the numerous artworks and the exceptional projects that the young artist has already created.

Sandie Zanini, curator, manager and consultant in the contemporary and crypto art worlds interrogates about the new role that art galleries must embark on after the Web3 revolution. By using this approach, she runs the Zanini Arte gallery in Mantua (Italy), together with her family.

The book also includes an editorial text written by Andrea Concas (editor of The NFT Magazine), the artist’s biography, an interview made by Alessia Cuccu (the magazine’s vice editor), the Flipbook and a catalog of his NFT artworks, collected in a single publication for the first time.

The monograph was dropped on 6th March 2023 on Nifty Gateway platform and its physical version will be available from late April, 2023.
