BIOGRAPHY

Je Shen was born in 1973 in Jiangxi, China. He emerged as a prominent figure in the realm of Asian contemporary art. Blending Oriental traditions with influences from distinguished 19th-century artists of America and Europe. His artistic journey began at Guangzhou art school. In 1993, he further honed his skills at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, graduating with full marks in 1998. Je Shen’s artistic prowess, marked by an exceptional technique, and a fervent desire to create a novel medium of expression, formed a unique fusion of styles and influences. This melting pot became the cornerstone of his prolific career, characterized by a relentless dedication to art exhibitions. In 2008, the Museum of Guangzhou marked a significant milestone. Inaugurating a permanent solo exhibition for Je Shen, providing a platform for his distinctive works. Over the years, Je Shen has participated in more than 90 solo and collective exhibitions globally, solidifying his status as one of the most promising artists in the world of Asian contemporary art. His captivating paintings showcase a masterful interplay of sophisticated techniques, drawing viewers into a magnetic collision of lighting, optical illusions, and elegant brushstrokes. Je Shen’s art unfolds magical floral atmospheres, where color and three-dimensionality guide spectators through a vortex of visions and emotions.
